Why do people get so upset when discussing politics?

Both statements are correct. But just because someone is discussing politics doesn't mean they are from one side or another. There are a lot of people who talk about politics but don't have allegiance with one particular side. The problem is, people put passion before principle in politics.

I hate ignorance and dishonesty, and I get frustrated when the repub's use lies and misinformation as their main tactic to guide their following.

I know the old "most politicians lie" stuff, but there seems to be one side that doesn't care to hold their leaders accountable, and instead the following just seem to take the lies and misinformation and propgate it, even when it's known to be false.

This is very frustrating to me, as we have seen these tactics from the right, all over the place these past several years, to stifle opposition. And now, it seems to be people being dishonest because their guy didn't get elected, or they don't like the color of the guy in offices skin color, or both, and then attempting to mislead others (often timess successfully).

This is what burns me.

Because it goes to the core of your beliefs...it's very personal.
Nothing wrong with getting upset at appropriate times.
Quit swallowing the politically-correct notion that we should all deny our feelings and maintain a flat-lined attitutde about life and liberty.
There is such a thing as righteous indignation!

A conservative, Bible-believing American

ADDED: What is offensive that I am getting thumb's down? What I said, or that I signed off as a Bible believer?
I am not ashamed of believing in God and His Word, because I know it is truth. You will too, sooner or later.
Hope you discover it on this side of the grave.

I don't.......there is much laughter in the house when I come to the politics section of Y/A. Epically at some of the adolescent questions and answers......unbelievably funny!
