If you won big money in the lottery would you be happier or sadder?
Money can't buy happiness but it can buy the things that make it easier to be happy. Whatever you want - nice home, fast cars, your own jet, security, the best medical care, travel, beautiful women and/or men to amuse you, the means to help others, adopt a child, donate to charity, a Steinway grand piano & a world class piano teacher, fine wine, Cuban cigars, etc and above all freedom. All these thing are available to a person with money. Sure, it's possible to be rich & miserable but money has provided a lot more happiness than poverty.
