Why do people feel like they can debate the trait of homosexuality out of me?

Often times while discussing homosexuality people will debate me on the topic as though I've made some choice and can listen to their argument against homosexuality and then just make it go away? Don't these people realize that most of us gay people knew we were gay since childhood as far back as we can remember and made no choice in the matter? Don't they realize if we could had chosen to NOT be gay many of us would have made that choice? Why do they think they can post arguments against homosexuality and debate the trait out of me? Can I post an argument against your hair color and debate the color out of your hair?

Gays are naive.

You don't get rights by whining or behaving nice and "deserving" them.

The only way a group obtains rights is by infusing fear in the hearts of the majority. That's how ethnic minorities obtained rights, that's how women got the right to vote. Peaceful BS never works. Make it so that the majority fears for their lives, and you can bet they will be ready to grant you your basic rights.

The next time someone tells you that you made a choice to be gay, ask them to describe the exact moment in time that they chose to be a heterosexual and what led them to their decision. They'll shut up.
