Why do people do this? Just a little rant?

I'm sorry but i must ask..why are people constantly putting thumbs down on answers that are true stories or something someone says happened? I understand why people put thumbs down on opinion answers that makes sense because people disagree but when i say my son is doing this at this age, or when i was pg this happened, or whenever anyone else answers with their own personal experience why do people put thumbs down? Its kinda hurtful because you were only being 100% honest and it was something that really happened...does anyone else get a little peeved by this? especially when it is their experience being thumbed down?

Maybe they don't think the true life experience really had anything to do with the question or didn't agree with the views trying to be portrayed. And really, what difference does it make?

Some people are thumbs down trolls, they will go through and give everyone thumbs down for the fun of it.

i definetly get peeved off. people can be so insensitive and rude by just a little thumbs down and it can really effect you. I know it really shouldnt bother me but it does! Dont sweat it. I just tell myself that my answer was honest and true so Im all that matters
