Why do people deny the existence of Climate Change?

What possible reason could they have for climate change denial?

Are they all coal-mine owners or oil-company chief executives?

When the maldives are sinking, glacears are melting and here in Wales we go whole winters without a snowflake, why do these people choose to be ignorant and deny climate change?
 
Probably because man made climate change doesnt exist. Thats the only reason I can think of. In the 1970s liberals said w\that jets flying in the sky would cause the next ice age. Then as the world warmed they changed it to global warming. Now that the average temp has been dropping for the last 11 years in a row, they changed it to climate change. Also the HUGE array of scientists that now agree that global warming is bunk pretty much discredits the few handful of scientists at the IPCC that claim the earth is warming (to get more grants to study it) The fact is that I can post 4 peer reviewed scientific journal articles that say man made global warming is BUNK for every one that you can post saying it is real. Ooh yea, and remember, people magazine isnt a peer reviewed journal article. that would be like this:

What was learned
The 20-year temperature trend over Antarctica derived from the satellite data was a cooling of 0.042°C per year, while the 20-year temperature trend derived from the station data was a cooling of 0.008°C per year.

Conclusion
In view of the near-perfect agreement among the satellite and surface records over the conterminous United States, which all show little warming over the past two decades, as well as the similar finding of little warming in high-quality stations from both of the earth's polar regions, where greenhouse warming is predicted to be greatest, plus the fact that the satellite and balloon records show little to no warming over the entire earth over this period, we thus conclude that there truly has been little if any warming due to any cause over this period of time over the entire planet, and that the only reason the surface record for the globe shows warming is that outside of the United States and a few other places of high-quality temperature measurement, the surface record is just plain wrong.

Climate change is not being denied. Man Made Climate Change is the issue.

We have done nothing to change the climate. We can't change the climate.

The climate has been changing all by itself for a very long time.

Mankind did not cause the Ice Age. And Mankind did not cause the warming trend that caused the Ice Age to end.
 
Climate change is a million year old phenomenon...no one denys it...what they deny is that man is the agent of change. The Earth has been getting warmer since the last ice age. The glacial and sea ice reduction is a natural evolution in the warming pattern. Temperature change always has a lag time and its effects are always more rapidly experienced during the shortening of the lag time.

Take summer temperatures for instance...the daylight time increases until June 21st each year (northern hemisphere) but the highest mean temperature doesn't happen until late in August or early in September as daylight time has started to significantly decrease.

What we deny is that another mini-ice age could be the result of the current sun spot minimum. The last Mini-ice age followed the maunder minimum by some ten years...remember the lag effect!
 
It is important that people pay attention to this. Don't know how to stop it. But, the Earth has been changing for millions of years. I don't think it will stop with us.
 
If you look at history we have had far worse climate change for thousands of years- thus it is not man made yet cyclical. Why do liberals always have to create crisis just to create more taxes for the people? ALGORE has been proven wrong by world renowned scientist and I will believe their assessments over someone who made billions with his lies. If ALGORE truly believed in global warming/climate change why does he fly in private jets all around the world? Why does he drive SUV's? China & India scoff at his beliefs and they cause more pollutions then all the other countries combined.
