why wont you read it then be the judge ....i mean your probably literally in debt right now from having a baby or getting sick or maybe in an accident....and just to satisfy your need for arguing and waving your fist in the air you wont read something that is trying to help you in your family ??????????
its not that long and its not my fault if your ignorant and cant understand big words

I tried to read some of it and I can honestly say it is some of the most confusion, obscure, and convoluted legal trash I have ever seen.
Every paragraph contains multiple references to sections in other legislation. You have to read all the references to try and understand the paragraph.

There is not one single congressman or senator who has read this bill and understands it.

As a matter of fact our elected Legislators didn't even write it, nor did their staff.
The Bill, like Obama's 800 page stimulus bill was written by the Apollo Associations. They, like Obama's Czars are part of his shadow government who are really running things. They haven't been elected anything and they answer directly to the dear leader himself.

why do people go whole hog for the health care plan without reading it? Aren't they concerned about the details, seeing as how it's 1,000+ pages long?

PS- if that "big words" comment was directed my way, at least I know my grammar well enough to understand the difference between your (possession) and you're (you are). You obviously are the one who needs to go back to school.

Do you read you Mutual fund prospectus? Your credit card statment? All the fine print on everything you buy? Politicians put all this confusing verbiage in a bill to allow later interpretations to get whatever they want after it's passed. Kill it now.

I've read parts of it. It will NOT help me or my family.

Read this little snippet:

‘(C) enable electronic funds transfers, in order to allow automated reconciliation with the related health care payment and remittance advice;

Giving them the power over your bank account, are you high?

I have read all 1018 pages of the proposal and it would make health care 10 X more expensive than it is now. The Apollo Group did a horrendous job writing the stimulus package and they did the same with this one. Reform is one thing, but this will only make things worse!

They have added 200 more pages since I read the proposal.

I've posted a link to HR 3200 if any brave souls want to take it on. I have attempted to read it but I won't pretend to have understood all of it. I would be surprised if very many people could, even with the help of a lawyer. One thing is clear. This bill was not meant to be understandable.
In any event there is no finalized version in the House. Once the Senate gets their hands on it there will be other changes, so even 100% comprehension of what's there now doesn't really tell anyone what the final bill would be like.
The title of the bill is itself a red flag. "To provide affordable, quality health care for all Americans and reduce the growth in health care spending, and for other purposes".
"And for other purposes"? Here we go!

Because it's still in the last of 5 committees being written.
No sense going off half crazy over a draft.

The house Finance Committee hasn't even started drafting their version.
