for being hooked up or matched with a child when adopting internationally when there are many children in foster care available for immediate adoption?

I was just reading posts on an adoption website that specializes in international adoption and noticed that many people were complaining about it.

Why don't they just adopt someone from foster care living up the street from them instead of complaining about waiting 5 or 6 years?

It's that simple, is it?

There's a big difference between foster care and adoption. Foster care is generally older children, with troubled backgrounds and with adoption, it's pretty fresh and the mental issues that come with it are probably the same, but if you're 100% honest about the adoption then you shouldn't get issues.

Studies prove that adoptees have better education and lower crime rates. Let's not get on our high horses here, I didn't say that, I said studies have shown. Don't DISREGARD it if you're not going to disregard the other studies that talk bad about adoption...
In GENERAL, People who adopt (and all the people I've heard of) are here to give all their love to their adopted children and provide everything they can to the child and give them the best life. So, there are good people waiting on children for years and they do adopt from orphanages where there is NO OTHER OPTION. I'm not talking about newborn adoption here.
