Why do people complain about plastic surgery?

I do not understand it. People say I am ugly. The moment I want to get plastic surgery, "oh no accept the way you are" and I get tons of compliments. What's so wrong with plastic surgery? If I am ugly and try to fix it, people persuade me not. Why? Don't they want me to progress? Why should I have to accept a body I do not want?
 
The only reason I would consider anybody getting plastic surgery is in the wake of an accident of something.

If you do it just to get prettier, then you come off as fake and only caring about personal appearance.
 
I'm not against it. I got a rhinoplasty last year and I am glad I did it, even though people said that I was crazy because I didn't need it. I say go for it because it's you that looks in the mirror every morning not them.
Do what makes you happy.
 
Do whatever makes you feel better about yourself. Regardless of what you do, someone will always complain so might as well go with whatever benefits you more.

If you want it, get it but just make sure to be realistic and to know it can only do so much. But you are right though. If you don't fit the standard of beauty you get criticized but if you get a change then you hate yourself. wtf?
