Why do people complain about being short or ugly or uncool etc.?

Does it really matter? I'm short, flabby, wear glasses, ugly and have balding nappy hair but logically it's not a reason to be pissed about. What's logically worth being pissed about is being poor, which I am not, and being poor sucks since the cost of literally being alive is less attainable.

But I don't get that other stuff. It doesn't make sense to be upset because people don't think you're "good". As for attracting mates goes, people have been mating for thousands of years and not all of them were big black men and pretty white women.

I don't know why we as humans have the conflicting instincts of aiming for perfection, yet we also have that need to prove that we struggled or were victims at some point. Overly attractive women and overly gigantic men are as near as can be to perfection, yet feel the need to complain about the downsides that come with possessing these traits.

Being cool is another thing. It's logically not much of a reason to get up in arms about, but it happens. It seems to be something that carries on from schoolyard days, some people rule the school and others don't. The ones that don't are getting increasingly frustrated with that fact and do crazy things because it is our illogical nature as humans to crave attention.

We should all just learn to play our role. Not everyone gets to play Romeo in the school play, some of us have to play the cactus. But be a damn fine cactus. Being a bitter cactus only makes people laugh at you more and that's a bad thing right.

So as The Rock would say, know your role and shut your mouth!
