Why do people complain about a promoted food item? Especially when it's discounted!!!?

I work at subway and I am so irritated with people coming in complaining about the $5 footlongs. "Why isn't my sandwich $5? You made all the crappy sandwiches $5 and my sandwhich is $6! " This may just be a pregnant woman moment, but its really starting to get on my nerves. You are getting a foot of meat, bread, and any vegitable you want for under $7 regardless of the type you choose! Why does everyone have to complain, especially to me, over something that I have no control over? What do you really expect for five bucks? Thanks, I actually feel a little better now. lol. But any input on the topic would be great!
 
Very often it isn't advertised clearly exactly what the $5.00 sub is.

I can see where you are coming from though, and can only tell you "that's life".
There will be some always people who will complain about something.
"Mine is only 11 7/8" long, his is 12 1/8' long etc

What I expect for $5.00
What is advertised clearly, and cheerful service.
