...40 year old and a 50 year old?
Nobody said anything about sexual intercourse - and dating is legal at any age.

I understand the taboo, I just think it's a little hypocritical when all people can ever come up with is so called maturity. Which is unfair when many 13 year olds are more mature than many 50 year olds.



And yeah, I'm neither - just curious if anybody can think of a fair argument to back up this prejudice.

because 13 and 16 year olds are kids, and 3 years is a BIG difference when it comes to development of the brain annnnnnd body.
40 and 50 year olds on the other hand are both fully grown adults.

Because a 13 year old is underage (to have sex) whereas a 40 year old is legally old enough!

hiya, 13/16 is illegal to date, plus they are to young to know there own minds 40/50 are older and wiser, and know what they are doing.
