Why do people believe in "GALACTIC ALIGNMENT"??It's so stupid..?

Wanna know what's worse? There isn't even going to be an alignment. The sun will cross the galactic equator at about 6 degrees away from the center on Dec. 21, 2012, just like it does EVERY year.

"But but..." comes the protest by the throngs of History Channel brainwashed pedestrians, "but they said this only happens one every 3600 years."

BZZZT! That was one of the many lies concocted by Zechariah Sitchin and the others who contributed to these abysmal History Channel documentaries.

So not only would such an alignment have absolutely no effect on us, but it isn't even going to occur!
 
People will believe anything these days huh? Nothing will happen on 12/12/12, I will laugh at all those people who believe so.
 
Are you talking about Galactic alignment which comes around every 26000 years, which from the earth's point of view, the two are aligned. The planet of the earth's orbit around the sun is tilted to the galactic plane by about 62 degrees. anyway i don't believe the world is going to end on 2012, but i do believe it will be some kind of cataclysmic event which many will witness. as for peoples thinking the world's going to end in 1012, i don't blame them since there scare, and is unsure what will happen that day. just don't let get to you
