When I turned 16, I got my license about a week later. After that, my dad and I went car shopping, and in about a month I had the car I wanted picked out. An almost new 2008 Nissan 350z Touring with a little over 1,000 miles and a clean history on it. The next week I drove it to school. Now, I wasn't a show off with this car, even though it was the most expensive car at the school. I mean, I parked early in the morning in the parking lot next to the bus ramp, which is where I and everybody else exit the school (not so people could see it, but so I could get to it and leave quicker). And all the time, I would overhear or get told from a friend about people bitching about my car and how I was spoiled rotten (I was kind of a loner, only had a few close friends, never messed with people or gave them a reason to dislike me). And then one day, I came out to see some guys standing next to it, talking about keying it. So, I just gave them the evil eye, got in, and drove off (didn't peel out or anything). My question is, why are people so b*tchy about some guy they don't even know having a nice car? I mean, I worked my a** off in school to keep a 4.0 unweighted GPA, volunteer community service, etc., and I know that doesn't mean I deserve it, but still.
