I notice when people learn about a new subject they never heard of before they start arguing about the subject as though they are experts even though they just learned about the existence of the subject a recently(like they just heard of this subject a few seconds or minutes ago).
Here are some examples I have seen:
1)Some American high school kids just heard of the term the ''French Foreign Legion'' just a few minutes ago from a history teacher. The history teacher than starts saying the French Foreign Legion has men that are far tougher than the typical USMC infantry. The high school American kids then starts saying the history teacher is wrong and that the French Foreign Legion are ******* because they are French. My history teacher than tells them that there are almos no Frenchman in the French Foreign Legion and that it consists mostly of foreigners from around numerous couhntries around the world including ex American marines and ex American soldiers.Yet despite just recently hearing of the French Foreign Legion, these high school American kids began acting like they are experts on military affairs. They refused to believe the history teacher and kept insisting that the French Foreign Legion are ******* because they are French. These high school kids don't KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE FRENCH FOREIGN LEGION-Yet they kept arguing as though they are experts on the French Foreign Legion despite just hearing the term recently and kept making the claims that the French Foreign Legion are ******* despite just having recently learned the military organization and having no basic knowledge what so ever about the French Foreign Legion.
2)I am practitioner of the French kickboxing martial art of Savate. One time I was trying to inform some kids who don't know anything about martial arts aside from movies about savate. When I showed them a savate kick called the fouette they started saying I was doing a roundhouse.I then tried to inform them that the kick was not a roundhouse and that it was called a fouette. But they kept arguing that I was doing a roundhouse. They acted as though they knew everything about the art including it techniques despite just recently learning that the art of savate existed a minute ago.
3)When some people heard who never heard of the brave Muslim warrior Saladin first hears of him, they started quickly saying he is a terrorist just because he is Muslim,Some guy who specializes in the Crusade tried to tell these people that although Saladin is Muslim he is actually a honorable merciful warrior and that he was considered by Medival European Christian warriors and knights in the same period considered Saladin as the most merciful most chivalrous warrior who ever fought in the Crusade even more so than the most saintly Christian Crusaders. But despite never knowing anything about Saladin before these people keep acting like they are proffessional historians who specialize in Saladiin, trying to say he was an evil ruthless terrorist who slain women and children just because he was Muslim.Man these people just learned about Saladin a few minutes earlier and now they are acting like they are experts on him despite the fact that they know absolutely NOTTHING about Saladin!!
4)Accounting terms such as liability and assets.99% of the people in this world never even heard of these terms.yet a vast majority of them keep arguing as though they are experts with CPA accountants who just introduced this term to them. Most people never heard of ''assets,''liabilties, and other accounting terms-yet when they first hear these terms from a CPA accountant they keep arguing with accountants what this term means as though they have masters degree in accounting despite knowing ABSOLUTELY NOTTHING ABOUT ACCOUNTING AND JUST RECENTLY HEARING THESE TERMS FOR THE FIRST TIME FROM A CPA ACOUNTANT!!!
5)The JRPG Sakura Wars.I tried to introduce this game to some PC gamers. They refused to try it because it is a JRPG,saying that it is linear in gameplay and plays exactly like Final Fantasy. But I tried to tell them that Sakura Wars is not linear and is completely different from Final Fantasy in gameplay.Despite just hearing of this title for the first time in their lives, they kept insisting Sakura Wars is linear and plays like Final Fantasy just because it is a JRPG.But for God's sake they never heard of this game let alone play it and they were arguing with me(who actually plays and loves Sakura Wars) that Sakura Wars is completely linear and plays completely like Sakura Wars just because its a JRPG despite never playing the title and recently having learn about its existence from me!Man they were acting like they were hardcore fans of Sakura Wars who knows everything about this specific JRPG and they were arguing how Sakura Wars with someone who actually played the game(me) despite just recently being intorduced to Sakura Wars by me a few minutes ago!
Why do people argue at things they never heard of before and act like they are
Why do people argue at things they never heard of before and act like they are experts on the subject despite just learning it as recently as a few minutes ago?I mean the fact they never heard of the subject and are just recently introduced to the subject by someone who has knows alot about the subject or has known about it as a long time yet they argue with that same person who introduced the subject to them as though they were experts on the subject? Why do people act like this?
