Why do people always look down on teenagers who have had sex?

Like 15 year olds who have had sex? Even if they have they have had sex they can still be very intelligent and nice people.
 
yes they can be but your most likely stupid if you have had sex at a young age. guys collect virginitys and the more they take is like winning a token. they feel special that a girl would give it up to them & then he leaves herr.
 
Honestly? Because it is just dumb. Just not an Intelligent, mature thing to do as a young teen. It damages the psyche. (Lots of medical proof to this effect). But you can't tell kids anything, they have learn by making mistakes, which proves the point. Ask anyone you know that is 18 or older if they regret doing it so young. Six out of ten will tell you they do.(Another survey). Get the data from the web, and then make your own decision based on facts, not emotion. Another fact is the front of the brain of a teen is not fully developed. This is the part that provides judgment and controls the emotional and animal parts of the brain. It is the emotion side of the brain that controls teens, not logic and reason. That's also why they can't drink. There is a reason why "under age sex" is against the law.

Uh, because most of the time teenagers wouldn't be able to deal with the consequences if something went wrong (i.e. a pregnancy).

Also, obviously your parents weren't like 'sure, you guys can have sex'. You probably didn't even ask them, I'm guessing. Anything that parents don't have some control over in their childrens' lives, they don't like.
 
Because of the instant judgment of sexually active teenagers being those who do not think of the consequences, which is true most of the time -- most sneak behind their parents backs and do as they please because they are "in love" when truthfully sex could wait if both are truly in love.

Really, it's because sex is a serious commitment. Especially for the girl. It's not just physical.. It's emotional. You're giving a part of your heart to the boy you're having sex with, and what happens if it doesn't work out?

Plus, teen pregnancy, and STDs are on the rise, all because of stupid teens who didn't think twice.

It doesn't matter how nice you are. It doesn't matter how much you *loooove* the guy. The reality is that kids aren't emotionally ready to handle sex and it's consequences.

Plenty of really nice, really 'smart' girls give it up too early. That doesn't make you any less of a person. It just makes you look like a stupid kid to people who are older and wiser than us, that's all.
 
Because a lot of teenagers think they are ready for sex, but somehow aren't ready for condoms, birth control, pregnancy tests and STD tests. Sex involves so much more than intercourse, but many teenagers lack enough foresight to understand that concept.
 
I don't look down on them but I feel very sad for them. They are missing out on an important time of their lives by being to serious with the opposite sex.

Sex is something that should be reserved for a married relationship. It is a safer way to have sex. The disease rate is lower because you only have one partner. Pregnancy isn't the same type of issue. Even if you have "safe" sex it isn't 100 percent safe. People get pregnant on the pill and with a condom.

Don't let anyone compare having sex with test driving a car. It is a stupid analogy. A car doesn't have feelings or can it get pregnant or an STD. I have feelings and I am an intelligent person who waited.
 
No one is saying that because a 15 year old is having sex your not an intelligent person. It's just that chances are, that if you have sex at such a young age later on in life you will regret it.
 
Prob cuz they believe u should wait til ur older...or married. it depends on the person's views really
 
because adults start to assume that that's all those teens do and arent good for anything else.
this is the reason why we have soo many teen pregnancies.
 
i honestly think its because adults dont think were mature and are stupid and dont think before we act . i think its so stupid because they have sex all the time . that's how we got here :) i think they should back off some and give us more room to be a kid :)
 
because its stupid and uneccessary. People thinks its like the cool thing to do and then cry about how unfair it is when the girl gets pregnant. If you have sex like before college your an idiot. End of story

its dumb. people are having sex younger and younger these days and they have no idea what the hell their doing. if you ask me, girls are just wayyy to easy nowadays
