...through the nose to watch them? For years now we've seen SKY obtain the monopoly on the majority of sporting events. The recent ASHES Cricket series being a good example. These should be on free to air channels without the need for further channel upgrades or costs. Some people cannot afford to upgrade to Sky Sports therefore missing out on these events. Should it change?
I know that they may be the highest bidder to air these events, but someone should look at the type of event and whether it is of national interest and make sky excempt from bidding or insist that it goes on one of their free to air channels such as sky one. It's no longer about sport once again it comes down to pounds, shillings and pence.
