Why do parents wanna name their kids weird names?

Okay, I'm like serious. I know someone with name Salutana, or whatever. I'm suprised that 'Salutana' dosent mind when she gets made fun of.
Whats up wit parents these days?
I never said anything was bad, I am just saying. Some kids get bullied because of their names.
 
maybe what you think is weird is acceptable to another group of people. i named my daughter trinity, and her grandparents thought it was blasphemous, my friends thought it was too animee or matrix. now, everybody's named trinity in my town. there's a girl in her class named georgia sue & she's the one with the "weird" name. so, it's all relative. names give character and if others can't be respectful enough to not make fun of others names ( something they couldn't control), then what can you do?

MY parents must have been on something because it's a horrible name i got made fun of all the time
 
why do some parents want to name their kids boring, trendy names nowadays? i hope Aidan and Ava and Bella and Ethan don't mind being referred to by their last initial all through school.
