i'm 25, don't live with my parents, don't rely on them financially in any way what-so-ever, don't owe them money, never had problems with it either. I'm very satisfied with my financial position. However, a few months back i bought this (admittedly) expensive car. They know i can afford it and will not have a financial problem for example due to lack of monthly payments and insurances on that car. When i told them the price of it they went CRAZY. (i told them the price AFTER i bought it). Now i'm thinking of getting another car for other NEEDS. It's 1/3rd the price of the 1st expensive car and they're going crazy about this price too. I make wise investing and spending decisions. That car was my 1st ever gift to myself, 2nd car is a necessity. No matter what my financial position is, they still go crazy over the prices of the cars as if i'm using their money. Why is it if they know i can afford certain things and don't need their help nor will i go into any financial problems due to these expenses, they still yell at me like i'm a teen, living with them at home and spending their money frivolously? Would your parents yell at you and what you do with your money?
