I have an 06 RX, mom has an 06 SC430 and friends have GS350 and IS..all have cassette tape players, WHY is that?

The 2002+ Hondas and Toyotas don't- so why does Lexus?

Smart is the word.
With all those cassettes, whatcha gonna do? Throw them.?
It gives you another choice.

You can always have them removed if you are sure you will not need them and replace it with iPod docking or MP3 players etc..

It all depends on the age of the driver and the type of music collection you have.

We are living in the world of choices. So, there ya go.

Because only old people drive those car and they want u to listen to all your old jams

in case the husband attaches a tape recorder to the house phone to catch the wife going on and on about an Italian National she met while away on a cruise...he can then get in the car and listen to the tape in privacy.

what?
It COULD happen and Lexus is prepared!

Good question. I have a '04 LS 430 and yes it does have a cassette player. My guess is the market that will buy the car. 40-50 year olds would have old cassettes.

I don't know anyone that still used the cassette. I did once just to see if it worked. It sounded like crap. The high end stereo in the LS is very good and I don't know why anyone would use this.

You might want to ask Lexus. I'm sure they have some reason for this, but it makes no sense to me.
