why do my interior lights flash in my car?

ok. so i was gonna turn my car on, but it didn't turn on, and noticed the mileage reader was off. this happened before after my battery died. then a few hours after that. i check it again, i turn the ignition and it didn't turn on again, but when i took the key off, the door lights flashed and heard a clicking noise. is it the battery?
 
YES!
The car can't do much without a good battery, since it runs off the battery. Get it charged, you can buy a trickle charger for $10 or get a new battery, they only last 3-5yrs.
