Why do most professions use a Mac when it comes to Photoshop?

how did Mac accomplish this synonymous entity with Photoshop?

please don't say "Mac runs photoshop faster" because even if it was true, the money you spend on a Mac can be better spent on a much better equipped PC that has much faster components that will run Photoshop much faster.

I don't want to start a PC vs Mac, I just wanted to know why photoshop and Mac goes hand in hand. is it the marketing?
 
I think Photoshop, like most Adobe products, originally started on Mac. You can see evidence of this still in the awkward interface it has that obviously wasn't designed for a mouse with more than one button.
