...pronounce it? Most people say it like, "Empire State-Building," but technically, it should be "Empire-State Building." Actually, I've never heard anyone say it the correct way. Where did this pronounciation originate, and how do you guys say it? Am I crazy for thinking this, or am I right? Thanks for the answers.

Yeah, it's because New York is the Empire State. One day I wondered why most people put the emphasis on the word "State" instead of "Empire" like it technically should be, since it isn't a "State Building." Yeah, I like to ponder weird sh** like this when I'm bored LOL. I'm a nerd sometimes.
