Most cartoons and comics made feature some element of witchcraft- a character using witchcraft, a character acquiring a magical item, or they feature a Halloween special/episode. Even shows like the Flintstones/Jetsons had some element of witchcraft. Why? What's the purpose of it? I am convinced most people who make these shows/cartoons are either athiests or agnostics. I am a Christian by the way.
