Hi, I just moved to Tucson, Arizona from South Texas and I have noticed that the Mexican women here tend to not like Mexican men and are ashamed of their culture or don't care about it. For example when I talk to them in Spanish why do they respond in English? They clearly know what I'm saying because they answer me correctly. Also why do they hide their national pride? When I see another Mexican or Hispanic I'm proud to talk to them and of course do so in Spanish. It's pretty sad that I've had a Mexican national girlfriend and haven't got a Mexican-American woman (I have no general preference for one over the other). It's not that I haven't tried to get with them, but it seems they purposely seek Black guys or White guys to assimilate, which it seems is their main priority. Don't they have pride in their nation? I don't know about them, but I want my children to speak Spanish and know my culture. This is not a racist question, just speculating about their beliefs and reasoning.

Their culture? You do know that Spanish and English have about equal "native" status to Mexico, right? That is to say - NONE. Spanish is a colonial language just like English is. If you want to have true Mexican pride, why not learn something like Nahuatl or Mayan?
why wouldn't they be proud they live in USA and if they chose not to Speak Spanish to you or anyone is their god giving freedom to do so Im speculating about you at this moment you don't have to live this country go live in Mexico in there you can speak all the Spanish you want but don't judge others

But many women are different, do not expect each one to be the same or stereotype them, there is such thing as interracial relationships. Mostly everybody is being "Americanized" and so it can't be help. I wish to learn how to speak "pura espanol de mexico" pero, I was always taught spanglish and so yeah.

mexican american women and men now a these days have no cultura no mexican cultural there all abt themselves.alot of them not all y or very stubborn hard headed and sad to say not very smart as well.you just got to put them in thier place.show them you have pride in mexican traditions and culture after all from tx to california it was all of mexico.
