...forests will die? There are still ancient tribes living in forests and depend on the surrounding habitat in order to survive. If you don't let them cut the trees down, how can they make their shelter and weapons?

Further, it isn't just the 'liberals'.....the Boy Scouts also want to protect the forests as well. They are Christian Conservatives.
 
That's damn right! The forest belongs to everbody not just the LIBS. We shoud be abel to cut it down if we want.

This is probably the most ridiculous and child like thinking I have ever seen on Y!A. There is a BIG difference between cutting down trees for survival and cutting down trees to make your life more luxurious
 
TOTALLY WRONG!!!

MOST of the time its greedy corporations who want to BUILD industry or plants that want to DESTROY the environment.

Usually the people who live in those habitats NEED those things and know EXACTLY what to cut and what NOT to cut in order to survive the environment... DESTROYING the environment itself is NOT in the best interests of the people living there.
 
I'm not liberal, but I am against clear-cutting.

There is a difference between clear-cutting forests for profit and tribes using trees as resources. The impact between the two are vastly different.
