Why do liberals scream about protecting our rural environment but they hate

it at the same time.? Liberals mostly live in cities. They do things like hug trees and oppose industrialization and are for protecting the environment. Yet they are always making fun and complaining about people who live in the country calling them rednecks, uneducated and racist, and they are always for things that cause more urban areas like illegal immigration. Pretty hypocritical.

That's a bit of a stretch--if I do say so myself.

Not *all* liberals live in cities. And not *all* liberals hug trees, or openly oppose industrialization.

But we do poke fun at people whom have their wires crossed (like yours), and think that the world is ending for them because health care reform is about to become a reality.

What makes you think liberals hate rural environments?

If I remember correctly Bush was selling off mineral rights to public land before he left office! Also it was Bush and the republicans who also cut funding to OUR national parks!

BTW---Do you know that it was a liberal who started land conservation?Because conservatives of the 1920's were farming out all the nutrients out of the ground!Yet conservatives call FD Roosevelt one of the worst presidents in history!

Google "Dustbowl of the 1930's"

Wow that is a very broad relationship. I care about environment enough to go to get my Degree in it. I dont call rednecks uneducated and racist. I call uneducated people uneducated, and racists racists. There are just as many who live in cities. I would live in the country if I could work nearby. It is not hypocritical, its just to broad of a generalization.

You need to expand that idea, there are just as many drunk ignorant treehuggers out there. =D Look at the 70's

This is why blanket statements dont work in politics. I am an educated treehugger, that listens to country. i dont support illegal immigration, but I dont oppose hispanic either. There is just not a common ground currently.
