Why do liberals always try to close off debate?

Their reply is always the same - 1st a personal attack..you're stupid, your avatar is fat...then - its decided, accept it, get over it..it's done...stop bringing it up.
I thought debate was wanted in the US, encouraged. Things change. Debate is needed to keep ideas & life fresh & in step with the times.
It's like they're saying-no more debate! We couldn't handle any more dissent 'cause it might change our minds.

Why do libs want to establish dogma?
 
Shoot Nikki, I have no clue other than if we were to keep debate open then truths tend to come out. Makes one think that they have something to hide or be afraid of.

I just had a question deleted asking, "What nation is it that has 57 states?" And linked a site that shows that the Nations of Islam in fact have 57 states. Then I asked if people thought it was a gaffe, miss speak or coincidence. Not once did I mention ANYBODY'S name.

It got deleted. Why?

The only thing I can think of is that it shows a valid point, and we all know how libs feel about valid points.

Debate requires an issue and so far you haven't brought one up but I do agree - debate is required in this nation where views are heard and not the echo's of the staged managed crowds yelling terrorist and kill him

Dogma ? Like a vote for Obama is a vote for a socialist ? That sort of dogmatic non response ? What dogma in particular are you referring to ?
 
Because that is what they were indoctrinated with, in the typical liberal atmosphere at the public colleges and universities.
The liberal agenda, is to use the tactics of bullying badgering, and insults, to try to get the opposing view, stopped, and those with the opposing view, to cease expressing it.
Look at the way, determinations as to what is taught in public schools are made.
Not by facts, or reality, but based upon pop science and pop culture.
The other day, a teenager here, posted that one of his classmates, had no clue that WW2 was fought in Europe AND the Pacific.But at least he knows how to have safe gay sex.
 
why did mccain's say he didn't want to debate obama because of the finacial crisis, and he didn't do anything about fixing the financial crisis?

why did mccain say he didn't want palin to debate biden and that the host was biased for obama when she has been moderating debates for years


why doesn't the mccain campaign want to debate and try to shut them down?
 
Most "debates" that get stopped that way start with a lie.

Curious - are you asking about your "Is Obama heir to Stalin?" slam? Do you really think a US Senator that taught Constitutional Law can be intelligently compared to Stalin ?
 
Or they report perfectly legitimate replies. And of course, Yahoo (we all know how unbiased Yahoo is) will stand by their decision to give you a violation. I'm sure my account will be gone soon.

Liberals are the worst practicers of censorship.

I don't mind debate with conservatives, I just can't stand their ignorance and when they say things that aren't true. You are entitled to a different set of beliefs but not a different set of facts.
 
Didn't the devil create dogma in the mind's of Adam and Eve. Funny how the liberals are trying to do the same today in the mind's of mankind. Wake up people before it is too late to stop this attack on mankind by the devil.
 
I have noticed that they go for name calling first, using some very offensive phrases, like calling Palin a stupid sl*t or who*e. Then they go around and erase responses, but is it the left per say? Or trolls? I had 3 answers deleted yesterday, none were offensive, they just went against what others believed.

In a nut shell, they want freedom of speech as long as you speak what they want to hear, they want freedom of religion as long as you choose not to believe in a religion, they want freedom of choice as long as you choose what they want you to choose, they want women to be empowered only as long as those women agree with their views.

I love to have debates with people that have different views then me, as long they use facts and reason to back up their arguments and not use emotion or shutting people down by name calling and mud slinging. This may have worked when we were children, but I expect more of adults. This goes for all sides of the political spectrum.
 
Just a minute. Was it not Single-Wide Sara Palin who refused to answer questions in her debate with Senator Biden?

Is it not the McCain campaign who demands vetting of all audiences before allowing either he or Single-Wide to attend?
 
Only their free speech rights are protected, if you do not agree then you have no free speech rights...
 
Nikki, you've struck on the fundamental difference between Conservatives and Liberals. I've never seen a Conservative feel the need to "get in my face" like a Liberal needs to be. They feel that they musy be outspoken, rude and loud to get the point across. I would much rather discuss a topic with someone with an opposing view, that's how problems or issues get resolved.
 
Tradition, dogma, slander, fear and lies are at the foundation of conservative arguments. You have it backwards.
