Why do left wing Americans make excuses for european bigotry and blood-filled history?

I find it odd that left wing Americans will make vast negative generalizations about their own nation, but then turn around and exonerate europeans for the most heinous crimes against humanity. Anyone care to explain the dichotomy?
 
well europe commited the worst crimes on humanity in the past but the us did their bad parts through most of its history till the civil rigts and other stuff that made minorities free. but right now everything is all good and things should be forgiven
 
because left wing people are brainwashed into believing only the US is capable of hostility toward mankind. They are completely devoid of rationality.
 
who makes excuses for Europe's crimes?

England was HORRIBLE... so was Spain... France... inquisition... crusades... of course Hitler...

it's all bad...
 
you just answered your own question. Because they are left wing. They have to hate the US and love europe, not matter what, it's part of their cult.
 
One of my best friends just moved here this year from Germany. He is extremely close to my friend Rosie, who is Jewish.
 
most Americans think that europe is a theme park filled with happy little elves which is strange considering most of our ancestors fled their shores in terror. Goes to show you how much the media can control our minds.

I am European and have never killed a Jew, nor has anyone I know or have ever met. The same for the now Germans. So I ask, wtf is your point? Its not as if America can wash their hands clean without any blood coming off.

BTW, the Japanese killed more Chinese than Germans did Jews in concentration camps. And the Chinese killed more of themselves throughout wars than anyone else did. Why pick on Europe?
 
Panserbj..... When Hitler and the Nazi Party was occupying other European Countries who do you think they were recruiting? The Battle of Normandy it was the French and Germans that were killing the American Soldiers.
 
Uh, they do? Do you read books? Do you know this thing called "imperialism"?

Why do conservatives support big businesses that economically sustained these countries (Nazi Germany, Apartheid South Africa) while they were committing atrocities?

Why are conservatives unable to distinguish between praising a country for particular good things it does (much of Europe has legal gay marriage and low prison populations) and being irrationally in love with the entire country?
 
Tell that to my British, European, Grandfather, who nearly died defending your ancestors from evil in Europe. Or his two brothers, who did.
