Why do I stink?

Hello everyone,
I'm in my teens,
and I've been suffering from this smell,
For about a year,
People say that sometimes I smell like meat,
Buy the most common comment I get is that I smell like feces.
I've been embarassed to be near people,
But you can't avoid people in high school,
They're everywhere,
I've tried talking laxitives to clean out my system,
But it's not working,
Today these two girls were sitting next to me,
And they looked like they wanted to vomit.
Then one of those girls looked at my like,
She wanted to kill me,
I was embarassed and aggitated,
Because I'm like well I'm sorry for stinking,
But I don't know what the hack is wring wit me either!!!
I told my mother about it, but she andy family don't smell it.
Even my pediatrician smelled me and she said I don't stink,
I know it's not all in my head because no one,
Wants to be around or near me it humiliating,
And I asked my mother if I could be home schooled,
But she said no,
So now I have to suffer i'm school,
I'm about to explode I can't bottle this stuff up and act like I'm fine,
I just want to scream until I cough up my voicebox,
I bathe regularly,
But when I bathe it seems to make it worse,
I clean my bottom in the shower as well,
But sometimes when I poop it's like not all the poop comes out,
It just breaks off,
And it feels like there's some poop left in there,
Also when I'm about to start my period.
You know the cramps that come and go,
Well my butt cramps up too,
Like the hole,
On my first day of my period,
The only way I get relieved from the severe pain is to either,
Throw up or poop,
Any advice or medicines that can help?

I wish I had the answer for you. I remember the teen years, and how tough they were without having to deal with something like this!

I know there have been a few posts over the years from people with a similar problem. I think Dear Abby even had a column about it once, so hopefully you can do some research and come up with some advice!

A couple of thoughts come to my mind:
-Could it be bad breath? When was your last dental cleaning?
-Are you on any kind of diet or have an eating disorder? (Sometimes people give off an odor when they are in ketosis. That can also occur with diabetes, which a lot of people aren't aware they have. Did your doctor run any blood tests? Have you had a fasting blood sugar done?)
-Do you have any other G.I. symptoms like gas or diarrhea?

It sounds like you might have some constipation. Try drinking water all throughout the day. In the morning, start with a nice tall glass! Drink water every few hours. The goal being you stay constantly hydrated, which can help with the constipation and help your kidneys eliminate toxins. Stay away from gassy foods like beans, onions, garlic, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, soy (tofu, fake soy-meats, soy milk, protein powders/bars made from soy) and see if that makes a difference.

I remember someone posting a similar problem on healthboards once, and it was suggested they try chlorophyll supplements. I believe it comes as either a green liquid you take by the spoonful or pills. It's sold at health food stores. I think the liquid might work better. Take as directed on the bottle. Worth a try, no?

Also, try eating yogurt with live active cultures everyday. That can help people with their GI symptoms.

If this problem continues, try another doctor. Write down all your symptoms. Write down how often people comment that you have an odor, and hopefully they will take you seriously.
Let us know how you're doing!

3D: Deserts post was good info. The only other thing I'd suggest is speaking to the school nurse if you can or a guidance counselor and see if they can give you some advice on how to deal with these classmates. It could be considered a form of bullying.

Also, do you have allergies? Do you take meds? Sometimes those can upset your pH balance and cause acidity in your body. Do you shave under your arms? If not, then you might want to start doing that. Also consider changing your brand of deodorant. If you're using an antipersperant you might want to just use a deodorant. I never had luck with the antipersperants. Even the soaps that you use in the shower could upset your system.

You could also try detoxifying your body somehow. There are foot pads and foot baths that can do this for you. As far as the constipation, try either adding magnesium to your diet or eating the "P" fruits. Pineapple, pears, peaches, prunes, plums. Nuts have alot of magnesium in them and beets. They will all help you move your bowels better and do it naturally.

Some of this could also be hormone related. You never know.

Do you have any close friends that you could confide in? How about a teacher? You need someone to be able to understand what you're going through that can help you with these girls. Girls can be nasty!!! They're clicky!! I went through it long ago and it wasn't fun. Try to stay strong and stand up for yourself and stay safe.

Thanks for the help guys (:
I'll take this all into consideration!
But my mother doesn't believe me,
So I don't know if I'll find the answer,
Durring summer break,
Hopefully I will because that's what I'm planning on.
Is there anyone else that can help me,
Do you know any doctors that specialize in this,
Sort of stuff?

D3press: the only doctor that comes to mind to treat this is an endocrinologist. It could very well be an endocrine problem. You could have your adrenal glands, thyroid and hormones checked by one.
