why do I have low transfer rate in my wireless network?

I got a small network that has maximum 600kbps transfer rate
more info:
excellent signal
802.11g and 802.11n
wap2 encryption
fast pc
no 2.4GHz interference in the area
no other netowrks in my area
the problem is when I transfer a file from one pc to the other
yes it is 600kByte/secnd and
802.11g is 54Mbit/s=6.75MByte/s
