Why do I have crummy video quality on my XBOX 360 coming through Windows Media Center?

When I first started using Windows Media Center on my XBOX 360 it worked fine up until the other day when it took a while for the video to load and now all of the videos have crappy quality.. I defragged my external where all my videos are, thinking that would help but it didnt.. I didnt change tvs or connections or anything.. Any ideas on what I can do?? BTW im running Windows 7 if thats relevent. Please Help
