Why do I get Irritated skin after sex or masturbation?

I'm a 28 year old male. For some time now, I seem to always get irritated skin on my penis, mainly on the head, after sex or masturbation. I still get it even if I use a form of lubrication. I saw my doctor regarding this issue & he said it is probably just from friction. I got tested for STDs & everything came back fine.

So what is going on here then? It even gets to the point where my penis is sore after because of the irritated skin. It is getting frustrating because I'm not sure what I can do to prevent it from getting irritated.

Any help would be great appreciated.

Cut down on stimulation until it is healed.
Then be gentle.
Use the best lube you can find.
