Why do I feel like I'm dying after a quick sprinting session?

I've gotten pretty out of shape in the recent couple years but I'm actually quite underweight for my height. I'm trying to at least start getting some cardio exercise in but I get bored with jogging after just two minutes and end up quitting because I can't imagine doing it for 30 minutes at a time. I'd rather put myself through shorter intervals of intense workouts but I seriously feel like I'm on the verge of death when I do some sprints. I'm pretty sure I don't have any heart problems so I'm wondering if it's just oxygen deprivation. I DO get out of breath after only a few seconds of running but I push myself to continue on until my brain practically forces me to sit down and rest. I'll feel dizzy and nauseous and a general feeling of discomfort for a couple minutes- then I'll do another sprint.

Am I at risk of seriously hurting myself by doing this or is this normal? I guess I should mention I've been diagnosed with hypoglycemia but I can go without eating for a long time and not feel nearly as sick as I do when I'm exercising.
