why do i constantly need to format my flash drive?

im trying to save my project and evey day i need to format it and i end up losing everything that was saved
im trying to save my project and evey day i need to format it and i end up losing everything that was saved...if u can help that would be greatly appreciated cause i really need the stuff thats saved at the moment
