shows and discusting things? Why does it make me sick when my friends and family can watch it with out feeling anything, they actually ENJOY watching it. I have actualy fainted and vomited while watching sex ed. Is this just me??? Why does it happen? i want to be able to watch it and be normal BUT I JUST CAn't!????

You are sensitive, along with a good portion of the population. It's a good thing, don't be ashamed or feel bad. I've known grown men, even a pro football player who passed out at the sight of blood, and when I studied medicine, I saw a multitude of people pass out at an autopsy, including me. In fact, studying anatomy, I used to get sick halfway through the class and would sit outside for about a half an hour then go back in. The teacher actually gave me an A for the class when I didn't deserve it, but she felt I really learned more than anyone else and got what anatomy was about, people. Most people really can't take it. In fact, I left medical studies because I just couldn't take it after a patient died - a young man who had to go through some horrendous treatments that left him screaming in pain. I had nightmares for weeks and would wake up in a sweat hearing crying. We are humans first, and there are many of us who simply can't handle the gory stuff. I once took my nephews to a Renaissance Faire and there was one exhibit that showed torture chambers - I thought they'd get a kick out of that but the oldest started crying and I had to literally cover his eyes and he held his hands over his ears and I had to walk him out of there. He sat on the ground for at least 10 minutes crying, he was so upset. Don't feel bad, don't be ashamed. And me, I can't ever watch another horror movie again - the last one I saw gave me horrors for weeks and weeks, I'll never do that to myself again. They are the ones who I would be concerned about, that they can watch and not be affected by all that gore. You are like most of the rest of us.

Some people are more sensitive to "gory" things than others. Personally, I don't like watching people get sliced open and blood spurting everywhere either... *shudder* It makes me kind of sick too. My friend's favorite movie is Saw, and she loves pretty much every horror movie, and I can't really watch them with her. So, you're just more sensitive to it. You're not abnormal or anything :)

It called being squeamish. Its nothing that makes you weird, so don't fret over it. As you grow up, some ppl become very callous to things that they ae overly exposed too (ex: sex and violence), therefore it becomes you another thing to be expected. What ppl are callous to depends on them and their experiences. I have grow quite callous to sex, but gore is a kicker, and I feel really sick in some instances. Those who are more empathetic to others, as in they "feel" others pain and problems, usually are the ones who can't stand horror movies or things like surgery.

Again dont fret over it, and the ppl who enjoy that stuff are the weirdies. I think its more weird to enjoy someone getting decapitated or suffer some mutilation before death is weirder than being oppose to it.

You have a weak stomach, I watch CSI and eat breakfast.

Other people get like that too, don't worry.

Just watch lots of gory stuff and you'll get over it, promise.
