Why do guys have to 'play the game' to get with a girl?

It seems really unethical and annoying that in order for a guy to get with a girl he has to play stupid mind games. And yet women want to play this game, yet at the end of it the girls all cry fowl. But if guys don't play games the won't even be considered by a girl.

Why can't girls just understand that guys just want to hang out with a nice girl do nice things for her have sex regularly. Yet girls want some silly drama and mind games.
