why do girls laugh at trivial/silly jokes or situations ?

when i hear a silly joke that is not worth laughing i see girls laugh at it. or sometimes when they see some specific scenes in horror movies like when a man has his head cut off - girls just laugh at it, like everything is so funny to girls. why is that..?
 
You're kind of stereotyping there... some girls giggle when they're nervous or scared (movie scene), and for some, it's kind of a reaction when they're trying to make someone feel better or when they don't know what to say.
 
girls just wanna have fun or either thay are just silly and want to laugh at something i do it all the time but im not silly i just want to have fun lol
 
Girls only laugh at jokes that aren't funny when a HOT GUY is telling the joke. And i dont know about the horror movie thing. I only laugh when a sseexxyyy guy tries to make me laugh :)

I know it's so wierd i see that alot of times..I guess it is bc they want the attention or something
 
They have a lame sense of humor. Not everything is funny to them...only corny things. If you crack a really good joke, most girls won't crack a smile.
 
1. I someone they like cracks a lame joke they usually laugh.
2. They are just trying to be bubbly and fun.
3. They want to get rid of the awkwardness.

and also, when they see something that may not be funny to other people, it reminds them of something else that was really funnny that happened to them.
 
depending on the situations.. we sometimes have this almost morbid humor. and being female we often have enemies, imagining the man being our ex getting his head cut off? thats funny yo. also, we laugh at things that may be trivial but in our head we twist around to mean something different and more complicated which we can find entertaining. or on a simpler level, we're laughing at how stupid it is, not at the actual thing.
 
I reckon it's a way of us trying to make ourselves and others feel more comfortable. And I think if they laugh at jokes that arn't funny it might because a guy they like may have told the joke and they're trying to impress them.

to show the guy that they have a sense of humor. If a guy tells a girl a silly joke, they'll obviously laugh to show him they're interested, to make them feel good.
