This is confusing to me because the black civil rights leaders of the past fought for equality and acceptance. Now that we are equal and accepting, some black people are acting like they don't want that kind of equality and acceptance.

IMO, it is the uneducated ignorant people on both sides that have it all wrong.
 
Excuse me.... I have several advanced degrees and I don't care who another sister is dating...HOWEVER, there are many women with my level of education or more who DO CARE...especially in my MOTHER'S generation.

1. Some people have had terrible experiences with non Black people and it makes them reluctant to see them as human.

2. Other people are concerned about the Black family in general.

It is not necessarily "ghetto" people.

And by the way, I don't care who your wife is I strongly take offense to you speaking of other Black sisters in this manner.

You are not Black and you seem to be happy, so simply do not concern yourself with what other Black women are thinking or feeling.

Good luck to you, but your wife's skin color does not give you the right to insult my other sisters.
