Why do gay people not like camp gays?

I am not sure how to put this, but if someone is a camp then that sort of puts you off that person.

How many people feel like that? :( :(

On two occasions, people have turned me down because of it (I later found out) :( :(
Pete = I am not overly camp ... but I do have a few moments where I don't even realise but people go "oh god, that was camp!" ... merh :(
 
they only turn u down becuase they are just really boring people lol i am rather camp myself and i just tell people to live with it or F off basically , dont change for anyone , be yourself and the right person will come along ,
 
I would love to camp. My sister camp before with her mates, a dog ate the food.

It be great fun and it depends where you camp. If there lots of spiders then no! lol

Obviously camp gays are gay, too. Some of my butcher gay male friends get all huffy about campness, but as a straight woman who loves gays I find camp fun and effective in battling tight-a$$ed bigots whether gay or straight.
 
Oh, I'm sure it's because we're NOT MAN 'nuff for them. But then our anatomy says otherwise, right?

I dislike people who take it out on someone because of how feminine they are. Okay, I understand that some people's case of campiness is on purpose, but some others, it just is.

If you've been turned down by more masculine gay men because of how camp you are, it's ridiculous and just shows how shallow 'some' gay men can be. Discrimination within one's own community is sad.
 
They are annoying. They make gay men look horrible by further enforcing stereotypes about the gay male community.

I would never date one either because it isn't a turn on. Nothing is more repulsive then a guy running around acting like a chick. you don't have to act like a flamboyant attention craving douchebag to be gay. I act like a regular guy, sound like a regular guy etc
 
I don't know, I think campy guys can be fun and friends but for some reason I don't look upon them as potential mates. It's just not my thing, I'm not that way myself.

EDIT -- But I'm thinking maybe I'm wrong. I mean, why not? I used to be turned off by ultra fem guys too and now I think they're cool, it was just my prejudice.
 
usually campy gay people use camp to degrade or belittle other people trying to do it in a humorous way to get attention and laughs. i can't stand anyone who puts other people down only to lift themselves....a insult is a insult whether it's done with wit and humor or done out of anger or cruelty. try that campy sh1t with me and you'll have a mouth full of broken teeth.
 
i like it when there a little campy but not ridiculously campy. im not that campy myself though, im a little effemintae in somethings i do but im not campy. lol, i wouldnt turn some one down over that.
