I have a KLX 110 dirtbike and i go through water that is only about a foot and a half deep and the dirtbike shuts off. If i put it on choke sometimes it will go through better but still it sometimes shuts off.
The engine is shutting down because the ignition is getting wet, not the intake. For a more thorough explanation why not ask in Cars & Transportation>Motorcycles.
