Why do conservatives think the US Constitution should be preserved?

Have they already forgotten that the citizens of America elected CHANGE in 2008? We the people want progressive legislation written by modern scholars. An ancient document written by racists is not change.
President Obama promised us HOPE and he has delivered with more jobs and a stronger economy. He promised us CHANGE and he delivered by replacing Bush! Will you support phase 2 of the change in 2012?
 
I don't think that this is the change that people had in mind. I seriously doubt you could find 10% of the population who think we are on the right track and that this nation is better off than it was 20 or even 2 years ago.

As for your last paragraph... I seriously hope your kidding, you are either joking or you do not own a television, read a newspaper or access the internet with the exception of today. You can not possible be serious.

I was not a fan of Bush and to me Obama has just picked up where Bush left off but with intensified spending. No real differences.
 
NO did you even do your homework .. i think NOT ! and it was not written by racist it was just a different time .. they also forgot about women and uneducated white men .. i think your the racist to be honest!! .. and i dont like that you are belittleing a great document and part of american history. Also if you want to change it there are these things called amendments!
 
Wow, clearly we both didn't observe the same time period since Bush left office...If there's any more CHANGE like he's done, then there won't be any HOPE.

The Constitution is what prevents people like you from being killed...you should want it preserved too.
 
He said this in 2009: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

You said he had delivered more jobs but yet we have higher unemployment numbers now then what we had during the Bush years. Stronger economy? Have you seen the latest polls about peoples and companies outlook for the US? Trust me it isn't good. The Constitution works great when it is obeyed by congress but then again interpretation varies from person to person nowadays.
