Do they not realize that the economy is more often affected by the actions of past administrations? How can it be all Obama's fault if he's only been in office for less than half a year? Explain.
We have not begun to see the effects of Obama. Give it a few more months. Obama will be responsible for the collapse of our economy. Nobody else but him.
So by your definition, Bush's presidency was affected by actions Clinton took? Nice to hear one of you finally admit it.
Why do demlibs only pay attention when they have someone in office.
Many cons were yelling about fiscal irresponsibility when Bush started pushing his stimulus plan. While Obama has been in office for less than 6 months, he has nearly tripled what Bush did in the last half of his second term.
His spending rate is egregious. More so then any other presidency we have ever had. If you spend money you don't have you will go broke.
His predictions made for what this spending was supposed to have accomplished were wrong... and have already surpassed his own doomsday scenario that he presented would happen if the spending did not occur.
We are not going to be able to pay off the debt he is creating. If he is not stopped our economy will collapse.
Because accepting the fact that Reagan increased the size oof government and government spending by 90% and that Reagan had the top wage earners paying 10% MORE in taxes than Obama and Clinton doesn't exactly sit well with them. Further, they would then have to question why they never held 'tax day tea parties' against Bush's or Reagan's spending and taxes.
Hey, I'm equal opportunity. Couldn't get ahead under Nixon because of wage controls. Couldn't get ahead under Carter because he told us to tighten our belts while he threw money away. Lived pretty darn well while Reagon was president. Lived high on the hog while Clinton was in office. Started to fall apart with W, not seeing any improvement with Obama.
Because they keep watching Fox News. And with conservatives you can tell them the truth all day but they won't listen.
Look at Bush - in office eight years and he blamed Clinton and even his own dad for our current economic mess. Wihch also illiustrates the point that conservatives don't take accountability for any mistakes.
I was complaining Bush and the Republican Congress was spending like a bunch of drunken liberals on shore leave before Hussein was a glimmer on the teleprompters shine.
maybe Obama should not have promised less than 8% unemployment if his stimulus is passed then he would not have opened himself up to the huge wave of dissent that is about to come down on him
You would be pretty dumb not to whine about the economy - there's plenty to whine about, at the moment it's in one big huge sorry mess. Who said it was all Obama's fault, by the way?
The same reason liberals blasted Bush the entire time he was in office. The Democrats didn't approve of the way things were handled; now, the Republicans don't approve of the way things are being run. Basic ideological differences. Also, though, the economy now is worse than it was when Bush took office. Take that however you like, but there is more to whine about now than there was eight years ago.
