Also, MONEY IN (Taxes) - MONEY OUT (Spending) = DEFICIT. If you refuse to do anything to increase the Money In, things aren't going to work unless you really want to cut 1.4 trillion in spending which means a tiny military among other things.
The tax cuts only will expire for those making more than $200,000, which will save hundreds of billions of dollars.
For the record I actually CARE about the deficit and would be more than happy to pay higher taxes.
