Why do conservatives always complain about the DMV and postal office?

They say government can't do anything right and then point to the DMV and postal office as proof.

I have never had any problem with either. When I renewed my driver license a couple of years ago, the line was short. I have never had a problem with the postal office either.

I worked for the Census Department while in college. I went to a state university. I applied for federal/state financial aid. I never had any problem with any of them either.

You know who made my "List"? Greyhound bus for overbooking passengers. Made me wait forever to get the second bus. Sprint calling cards. They charged me over 200 bucks for 1 call because the operator connected me. They never told me every single minute of that call was super expensive just because of that!! Chase bank for charging $30 something bucks twice in the space of a couple of days because of an overdraft. Getting charged over $2,500 bucks for a 2 hour stay at the ER. Waiting forever to talk to a real person at AT&T to cancel my voice line. Etc, etc.

I have dealt with alot more greed and incompetence from private corporations, then with government.
LET ME ADD ANOTHER ONE!

Arriving 15 minutes early to your doctor's appointment only to wait 1 to 2 hours to actually see him!!!

I'd have to say that you are on to something. The Government seem to run pretty efficiently when you think about it.

"I have dealt with alot more greed and incompetence from private corporations, then with government."

Then you obviously havnt lived long enough. Im guessing... fresh out of college?

I'm no Conservative, and I certainly can't stand the Post Office or the DMV.

I also really can't stand Sprint, who once applied my payment to another person's account and then shut off my service for non-payment. After going through the maze that was customer service, I was finally able to resolve it. And how did they try to keep me as a customer? They offered me a rebate on a new phone. I never got the first one to begin with.

And then there is Delta, when my flight to Florida was cancelled the person at the desk told me to call customer service. I was then connected to someone in India who told me my flight is going on as scheduled. It took 20 minutes to convince him otherwise. He said "My computer screen says the flight is still scheduled." I told him "I'm at JFK and it's not!"

And don't get me started on Citibank who once tried to charge me to see a teller.

Yes, you're right. It's only conservatives who complain about the ineffiency of those services. No liberal has ever, nor will ever, complain about either the DMV or the U.S. Postal Service.

With respect to your list... Did you read the account agreements with Sprint & Chase...

...as for the government... I can't get anyone at the IRS to tell me how much I still owe after I owed 2007 taxes and got a big return for 2008 to offset it...
