military? Or abuse of the system by military vets, which many non-disabled vets will honestly and openly attest to?
Where's all the wrath toward military waste equal to the wrath doled out to single mothers on welfare? Why, in the first place, is being a vet so much more honorable than being a mother?
P.S. You don't have to feed me the "lay your life on the line" B.S. Many vets don't even see combat, and people in lots of professions "lay their lives on the line" and don't get the unquestioned respect or the benefits for life.
Um, so, just because I criticize the military, I "don't know anyone" who's ever been in it? Thanks for the typical conservative fallacies. Both of my grandfathers served overseas, one in the Navy, and hold the same views as I.
"Vets deserve the same health plan as the congress that sent them into harms way.": I don't really buy this for two reasons. 1. Military recuits know what they're signing up for, so to speak, which is, they supposedly "know" the risk and made the informed choice to take it. This is agreed upon by conservatives and liberals alike. 2. Are you suggesting that all employers/bosses who send their employees to do more dangerous work than themselves owe them the same benefits? So where are the massive benefits for oil-field workers and firefighters?
