why do Christian groups keep trying to convert me!? is this legal, discrimination?

ok so i'm Hindu, and brown but go to like a 80% white college, so i stand out, and anyways it's a public college in the south with many Christian groups in the college, and they keep trying to convert me! like i'm just sitting in the student center or other places, and random people from these groups will start talking to me about Jesus and how i should come to their meetings etc Also random groups come from extreme churches with signs that say everyone will go to hell if they don't accept etc Is this legal in public colleges?
 
they have every right to suggest you different religions but they have no right to pester you or discriminate you on your religious basis....talk to administration if they keep on pestering you....
