Why do championships come into play when discussing legends?

Sure HHH and Ric Flair have multiple championships,but like Kevin Nash said "You can be a 15 time or 18 time champion,but it's fake. You never beat anybody." So why does it matter who held what title?

Because when you get the TITLE, then the company shows it sees you as the top dog, or that is the WAY IT SHOULD BE COUGH SWAGGER.. Overall just because swagger had a world title does not mean he is better than piper, but in storyline it should mean EVERYTHING and somtmes it does not.

Because it's still an achievment except if your John Cena cus he's been handed all his titles. Other HoFers like The Rock, Stone Cold, Bret Hart, HBK e.t.c. earned their championshis because they are very talented. If John Cena gets elected into the HoF next year not only will I not watch the ceremony but I will stop watching WWE altogether

Because championships define and enhance the legends . It puts a wrestler under notice and helps to become a legend
