Why do british people buy their food at the supermarket instead of cooking?

Where i grew up theres no such thing as buying your rice or potatos or salad or even chicken already made for you in the shop and you just have to put it in the microwave or te oven and its ready and they call it cooking. the most cooking they do is scrambled egg or mixing oxo squares with water....:/
i find that really disgusting! and im really against that. the most i would do is an oven pizza.
i know its ''easy' but why would you want to buy your food already made when you can cook yourself a tasty dinner and it will taste SO much better.
compare the shop rice to the rice you can cook in 15 minutes, wich is better? OF COURSE your own rice! and your own sauce and you own everything, those potatoes are disgusting you own ones would taste AMAZING compared to the micruwave one.
also i find that they dont know what soup is i mean what the hell with the 'soup' in cans...thats no soup thas just some mousse...
british 'food' is the worst in the world.
so why the hell not actually cook but choose something from a shop!
no i do not have poor grammar i just type too quick so all the letters get mixed up or dont even show up!
youre saying piss off cause you know its true pal.
people in other countries have ''no time'' eiter, but its just in them to cook maybe if they didnt sell all this stuff in the supermarkes that is already made it would make people cook, of course it would cause it forces you to.
