nah, the romans were doing stuff in the BC.. plus the christ birthday thing was just an appropriation of the pagan winter solstice to stop the heathens from having 'false idols'..

i don't even really think it was the romans, in all actuality it was probably the chinese, they invented nearly everything.

True they do invent alot. But it was either chinese, japanese or jews. If i recall the japanese celebrated "Boys Day" It is were the boys turned a cerian age and came a man and they also celebrated "Girls Day" Basicly the same thing. But now the call it "Childrens day".
