I know that J.K Rowling's name was written as that so readers wouldn't know her gender (as it was thought that reading a book by a woman would put boys off). Also I know 'Adam Blade' who writes Beast Quest uses that name as it is actually written by a group of people. Also I know that women used to sometimes publish their work under the name of a man as women's literature may not have been accepted or taken seriously.
Does anyone know any other reasons why someone may write under another name today?
Would you consider doing it?
